Blessed who need God-a-lot. Blessed mourning.
I don’t think I’ve heard so much what God might be saying to the broadly-evangelical church. Only for-sure: Stop believing the lies about the empire.
There’s no debate about these. We’re down to details. To quote from Paul Craig Roberts latest, ‘...as no evidence is provided’ - or conversely, evidence ignored.
They Tell Us Nothing But Lies
Where’s the rational behind not accepting the political realities we’re in? I could spend all day looking for sense, even skip-read the best of books addressing these ‘nutty conspiracies’/support more mainstream analysis. Utterly unsustainable.
For a local fellowships doing the right thing, this could/would transform. Main reason/one camp: The facts of this world, don’t fit our futurist eschatology. Hence, “don’t look to closely/let’s not believe”. Therefore, it’s "a revival is coming” blueprint, until then, ‘watch’ means ‘observe’ and exclusively pray for church-growth. Not watch - see the coming troubles - repent and fight-back. And, in ‘this’ - see, longing for, church-growth. Actually, this is more the ‘what’? “It is... true-ish” (i.e. half-light), but “let’s go along with enough of, to fit into our futurist...” To mitigate? Leave investigating lines that patently conflict, or would at least raise questions, regarding our views and proclamations.
“Let’s not get alarmed”.
Last night I wrote about political awakening coming out of genuine revival. This presupposes urgency. Blessed need God-a-lot, to pray-a-lot. What I should write, is an accompanying piece and circle up: We won’t pray so much, so likely, if we don’t see the coming unfolding darkness - knowing God’s will to oppose, and push back.
I will remove from you all who mourn over the loss of your appointed festivals, which is a burden and reproach for you.
Prophetic interp: Pray for a gathering - to accept-understand-accept, the political context. Promise: mourning-over to come. At least some and some.
Zephaniah is God’s expression of frustration. Language beyond said intent. An outpouring of God ‘might as well’. The tone - is what God’s communicating.
On that day. It’s like the quip; ‘’1984 isn’t meant to be an instruction manual".
The Lord will do something, unless we do. We: More collectively i.e. those still local-church-ing. Me: Individually, is all that matters... But how I could, and can, de-spair. Must mourn. With, and in, God. Any personal-based lies around me, or connected to, must end. A separation - and more fully trust.
I can’t keep bashing this line here. Overly done and dusted. Need to seek other words. Ones that up-build-me, and others (?) who read. For the love of God.
