I mourn about, and for, the new humanity. It’s all that we can do. Not moan, my frustration, but groan some-thing, of God. What have we become? I mean the church.
Theologies that we should see through for their debilitating doing are so planted, so engrained. I’d deep and g-utterly leap inside, if someone/within reason, disagreed about the Book, about God but was, at least, awake and impassioned. Doing.
Alas, ain’t the case, because action, inevitability tends, to follow theology. I saw some exceptions a while back, in my one year or so, trodding the right-prayer walk. They had it. But churchianity, ‘end-time’ baloney and me-me-me encountering in endless CD chorusing - keeps them somewhat locked-up. Nevertheless these straggling two’s and three’s at least had some fire and guts. Balls. Especially one sister.
I’m sure if I went overseas I’d find loads in them in prayer caves doing right-on but I still wonder how they overcome the inevitable stumbling blocks. And therefore, most importantly; can God move as wants? Meetings and such, might be mad-bad, but that those closeted, and calling on God cannot be stopped - building and battling in the unseen.
Thinking ‘bout it? Of course prayer-meetings globally, regardless of some of their aims and oh la la la’s, are what keeps the light we have, alive.
It could also be said, of course, people are - even better and more active - on the front-line, just not shouting about it and/or not public, i.e. on the internet. Fair point? It does make sense to resist ‘all’ media in living out the call to pray. I’m on it but clinically discern its poison. As-I writ before; internet on the back of TV has been the most ruinous weapon against our life in Christ.
Next comes; isolating (and no local church/invariably understandable and paradoxically, advisable) -or- church attendance; a leisure activity in a keep calm and carry on stubbornness. Poor and lowly -or- with a pomp of confidence in a pretend-about-the-world we live. Any woke-ness ones are wrapped in the futurist quandary to sit-back. (An overstatement but...). I want to cry when I see the meg-ch-meet ups, who-knows how much/God-does and the misguided thinking that surrounds it.
Looks like secret services and societies will be allowed to continue their works until there’s a tipping in the economics. As and when this begins in ‘our’ parts, God willing, the more miraculous should - “here the cry” - begin. This because; cries-out, intercession and heavenlies war, will finally rise up. God will. We must. One plus one equals...
If God can have, grace enough for me... what hope we have.
The good news. We’re in a church at all. I mean by that, not individually, (but God be praised) - but that, it could be worse? Cloud the size of a small hand and all that. The traps are easy to see. Others surely will. God, initially - these days - only needs a few. Hundreds, not even thousands, could pray together and transform millions into becoming a 21st Century Renewal. Hungry and restless ones, using - while we have - technology to communicate. Committing what time we have to intercede - and the rest.
I’m convinced, that God would make any Welsh-like or other revival engagement (and in meeting-up) come about, if only, we’d repent from the teachings that stop this. The ones that, by their very outworking stop - messy but credible - encounters with The Holy Spirit. Or, have them sidetracked into the kind that make the Charismatics headlines every now and again. Ones, so near but... oh so...
I know I barley muster prayer. By this, mean I’ve been hammered/hammering, my God given new-self, and recovering up. Edging forward. Of course it’s not me that makes it - but I don’t push into the extreme-grace-ing that says... “nah need, jump out that legalism...” or, the... and so on... and on... A trap for every escape to freedoms.
he who is believing in me, according as the Writing said, Rivers out of his belly shall flow of living water;
Mouring is right. To not - that much - is having a fantasy about the world we are about to see move from the parts we see under physical siege and distress to UK parts and the like.
Mourning comfort. This is God’s longing.
