A month out of date [Year, and a Month, Anniversary]: The thought that counts. Plus, it busts me off: You/ are/ my melody/, ...for a while. Back on, helpless and compelled. Ohhh... "YOU, are, my..."
Done some, will do a new song/s and t'morrow's 'planting'. And all the "do this, and that"?
IT, Shall cometh to pass, and gotta get over; go-stop-go-stop-go. "Trying", and "I tried".
Anyone else consider Whitney, the greatest voice in Soul, RnB and Black Music in the English language? In the West?
Like the tv Ad claimed about Carlesberg beer, Mary J., reaches 'other parts'. The soul-est in Soul Music and a famous singer. (Goes with any 'best' but in the music represented below. Yet, anyone can film more accomplished singers and figures? No more doors).
G'luck 'searching' YouTube for something, anyone's quite, this-able, and sensational?
Seeing the 'Whitney clip' for the first time when selecting a playlist. Prompts me to pair, compliment, clash, and rate. The two outings and all we need to hear and/or see.
Three, always three [not so, actually and write up on May 1st., 'First T'scoop Charts' post.
Aretha, of course. Read the above, would have screamed at me. Aretha Franklin is like the mother, Mary a Queen, and Whitney, a younger warrior.
Can't think we'll see the likes again about but 'opeful. Didn't think we'd see what the social housed and drug dealing would get on the software. What they were/are doing in the UK. Not six months ago, not a clue. Oh yeah, the rest of Europe and the States. "It's Grime and Drill baby", and 'what's happening'.
Of the three, we can guess the Aretha shock-exposure-performance to play. Sorry, it was a 'performance/show' but... Aretha lost/looses it, although becomes natural mode, whenever the opportunity.
Aretha forgot where she was. In her mind it was another Sunday worship service at her dad the Pastors' local gathering.
The 'show' was about her earlier years, so... she re-lived it, Live.
Not all celebration/Black Gospel (music). 'Old School Religion' carries levels of gaping-bondage and nonsense. Dead weight and yawning holes in credibility or argument. Too easy and get me squirming, I don't much listen to 'Gospel'. Bang-into The Redemption Hymnal and the 'Pentecostal Pioneers' from a century ago. Aspects of 'Pentecostal', over Charismatic, I favour to attempt and live out. Can handle bad-baggage and sit with, sing-a-long, share... until? Out comes the monsters,to make no-sense.
(to be cont.)
Whitney, Mary and ... Aretha. A 'plus one' is James Cleveland, introducing Aretha.
Gospel (music) father, the man who influenced and supported the scene and bridged it into a wider audience.
Gospels' Grandad, and behind (James and all), is Thomas Dorsey.
Oprah Winfrey is right, Shirley Caesar is 'Gospel Music's Mother'. Before her, Albertina Walker fits and the consideration for representing and the Shirley some years before.
As for Tramaine ?
In the mood to seek God and need some music?
Right hunger and needs are overwhelming or unsatisfied?
